The New York Stock Exchange rattled off some good looking moves this morning. It wasn’t as obvious as yesterday’s volatility but the moves were there and if you felt up to task, you could go in and get the job done.
I only traded the The British Pound today for assets because everything else seemed a little blah. While I was productive in terms of beating business costs, it nevertheless was a small PnL – almost the bare minimum. Doing any more trading would have put me in a bad financial position so I closed up the books and got ready for the cash open. New York was the same thing albeit faster and more rapid-fire action. I traded a pretty good number of contracts; a little more than what I usually do and even though I could have done better, things just didn’t fall in the right ways for me to have a day that I personally would be satisfied with.
I’m pretty pissed that things didn’t go my way but then again, that’s how I am all the time and with all different things. If I could, I would probably do things differently but the kicker is I would probably trade less than I did.
I am thankful, especially for today that I have the blessings that I do. Today is D-Day, and there were thousands of young men whose lives ended violently just to secure my freedoms. For that, I don’t want to complain, I want to be grateful.
