The New York Stock Exchange had a slow start out of the gates. I had a feeling it would. We’ve kind of just limped into September and when you add in all the dysfunction going on in the media and their portrayal of the country, you’ve just got a whole bunch of lethargy that seeps into long term bonds, and then weighs on the treasuries and then into the equity markets. You would think that commodities would be exempt from this but with currency futures and agriculture contracts making up my allowable assets, I’m in for a rough go of things as they are all ultimately interdependent on geopolitics.
I didn’t trade any assets this morning because I just didn’t see anything that I liked. The cash open was traded with a reduced risk. Even if I was sized up, the good trades wouldn’t have really amounted to much so all in all, while I am positive I did not make as much money as I wanted to. I was relatively productive.
Today is one of those bleh kind of Mondays. I’m trying to think of shit that I can get done outside of playing video games but the problem is, I’ve gotten most things done over the weekend after watching football. Housework, housemaintenance, grocery shopping with the wife – all that shit is done. Now, all I have to do is sit back and anticipate where the next problem is going to strike. I shouldn’t complain. There are people that would like to have my “problems”. I am a very fortunate person to be where I am. I guess I will play Halo.
