profilepic3The New York Stock Exchange traded well out of the blocks today. I was relieved to see that we had some good movement but at the same time, I had to be cautious because you never know when these types of moves will dry up.

I traded British Pound this morning and my trades, respectively sized, failed to yield anything productive. I think I must have put on about 7 trades before I realized I was spinning my wheels in the mud. It is disappointing when the British Pound does this because if there is a contract where I can make money, it is this one. Even when I am not having a good day, this contract doesn’t kill me PnL-wise. That only left me with having to do well in the cash open. While I wasn’t superb in the cash open, I did do just enough to have a productive and meaningful PnL. That is a huge relief.

However, I am still a little paranoid because who knows what tomorrow will bring. I would like to be a little more careful as I wasn’t sized up in the cash open but I know I need to be bold if I’m going to get out of this rut. The only thing I can do now is relax and make sure that I am mentally prepared for tomorrow.
