prof5The New York Stock Exchange started off well enough for my purposes. I didn’t get to look at the newspaper this morning. I may just start getting my news off of CNBC. The problem with where I live is that the Wall Street Journal isn’t easily accessible unless you go to a Starbucks or something like that. Home delivery is out of the question as it gets to you at night. Like, what the fuck am I going to do with a paper about this morning’s news when it gets to me at night – fuck outta here with that shit. Dow Jones can’t control what their delivery guys do so it’s a no-win situation for me and if I want Wall Street Journal news that badly, then I should just get it off the tablet. I might as well as the print edition lost its exclusivity when they started doing color ink. They never should have done that – I would have gladly paid a higher subscription fee if they kept it at the spartan black and white. Shit doesn’t matter anyway, I don’t even use the news for trading information.

I traded the British Pound today and got some really good ticks in the early morning. I was elated to have a good looking PnL and I really should have just called it a day, in hindsight. The reason being was that the cash open for me was just a complete mess. I was sized up and I didn’t have a good read on the market – a very very bad combination. All in all, I reduced what would have been a very good PnL day to a day where it was barely above the label of productive. I feel like I want to drink some bleach to ease the pain.

Anyhow, I don’t know what this week will bring but it sure has brought the cold weather with it. I’m seeing more and more leaves strewn about my backyard as I’m typing this and I think it’s time to dust off the rake and start gathering. I like the Autumn season: as with spring, things are low-key and property maintenance is the only thing to worry about. Summer and Winter are just too extreme. Oh well, on with the rest of the day.
